A High Protein Diet May Age You FASTER IF You DON’T DO THIS
High Protein eating has become quite the Longevity trend as of late, and for good reason! Because these molecular building blocks derived from the food we eat repair, maintain and build one of our most valuable assets when it comes to living long and finishing strong, our structural self!
However the thing they don’t tell ya about these little amino acids is… The fact that just like anything else in this world, too much isn’t great either.
As animal data has suggested that excess protein left to its own biological devices can stress the bodies metabolic machinery and even accelerate the aging process. Most recently a new mouse model reiterated this showing that prolonged high protein consumption significantly increased inflammatory senescent cells and degraded mitochondria function when compared to a moderate and low protein diet. Not ideal, I know!
But, that is if left to its own devices. Which we, as strategic practitioners of our well being, would never do. Because we know the fate of protein happens to be heavily dependent on the lifestyle that we live.
